The Timer
Set it, start itThe timer is in the popup window.
Why The Break Is The Method
How it worksThe break is the half that makes the next block possible.
One block, one task
Decide the single task before the timer starts. A block spent choosing what to do is a block spent choosing.
Decide before start
Interruptions get written down
When something else surfaces mid-block, note it and keep going. The point is the unbroken block, not the note.
Note it, continue
Leave the desk on breaks
A break spent on the same screen is not recovery. Stand up, look at something further than an arm away.
5 min away
Four rounds, then a real rest
The long break exists because attention does not reset in five minutes forever. Take it in full.
4 × 25 → 15 min
Questions
03Does it keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown is measured against the clock, not frames, so background throttling does not slow it down.
Will it make a sound when a block ends?
Yes, if sound is on. Use the speaker button to mute it in a shared office.
Is my progress saved?
The round count lives in this tab only. Reloading the page starts a fresh session.
